Ai Shinozaki is from Tokyo, nicknamed "Aitin." She made her gravure debut in 2006 at age 14, so 2026 marks exactly her 20th year — a true veteran among gravure idols. In 2016 she appeared on the cover of MAXIM KOREA, which sold so well she was dubbed the "sold-out girl," and she is popular not only in Japan but across Asia.
These days, though, she's probably best known for the Satellite Office commercials — the ones where she sings "Sa-te-light Office♪" in a business suit. The jingle is so catchy that a running joke spread online that "Ai Shinozaki doesn't know what Satellite Office actually does." (For the record, it's a company that helps businesses adopt cloud services.) There's even a volleyball version of the commercial, maybe because volleyball is her special skill.
She has also released CDs as a singer, and her hobby is solo karaoke. She recently appeared on the cover of Young Champion as well — still at the top of gravure after 20 years. She has her own YouTube channel too, so check out her relaxed, off-camera side that's different from the commercials.
I first heard her sing when she appeared on GODTONG's popular segment "Entertainment World Angry Women's School" (芸能界キレ女塾), broadcast on November 17, 2012, and I remember being amazed at how good she was.
