Sayaka Tomaru is from Gunma Prefecture. She made her gravure debut in Weekly Young Magazine in 2014 and won Miss iD 2015 the same year. Having stayed at the top of the gravure scene for over 10 years, she's one of the veterans.
Surprisingly, she turned down gravure at first. She says her large bust was a long-time insecurity, and she used to choose clothes and posture so it wouldn't stand out. Her mind changed when she learned that actresses like Kyoko Fukada also did gravure, and she thought, "Maybe I'll give it a try." Seeing how well she's doing now, we're glad she took that step.
Off camera she's a big sauna fan and even appeared in the streamed stage play "Saunerman: The Stage," which is all about saunas. She studied piano for 9 years, and her hobbies are Korean dramas and mobile games. She also keeps appearing in dramas and films as an actress, showing expressions you don't see in her gravure. Since she has been active for so long, there are plenty of videos — it's fun to compare her early days with now.
