えなこ - Enako えなこ ③ (Mar 13, 2021) | iroppoiさんより

Enako was born on January 22 and is a cosplayer from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. She belongs to PP Enterprise and has an incredibly wide range of activities — gravure, TV, voice acting, singing, and streaming.

She started cosplaying in junior high. At first she went by the handle "Minazuki Erina" before becoming "Enako." Back then there weren't many costumes available, and she had neither the money nor the know-how to make them, but now she can make her own costumes. When playing a character from "To LOVE-Ru," she lost 8–9 kg and even built up her abs — her dedication is the real deal. After the idol group "Panache!" disbanded she retired once, but she came back in response to her fans' passionate support.

With hit photobooks like the "Enako cosplayer" series and her appointment as an ambassador for the Cabinet Office's "Cool Japan" initiative, she has built a track record worthy of the title "Japan's No. 1 cosplayer." Still, what she says is "cosplay is love" and "there's no right answer in cosplay." Her goal is not her own fame but "raising the status of cosplayers" — a feeling that perhaps comes from having lived through a time when otaku had to enjoy their hobbies in secret.

Off camera she's surprisingly reserved, the type people describe as "totally different from what I expected." But once she starts gaming, her personality changes and she even clicks her tongue. Lately she has been focusing on live streaming on Twitch, and at TGS2026 she thrilled the crowd dressed as Oikatzo from "Shangri-La Frontier." Even as a veteran, she keeps taking on things no one has done yet.
